Last night I went with my brother and roommate to go see Harvey. I highly recommend it! It was awesome and funny and heartwarming and all of those marvelous things.
But most importantly, it had Carol Kane and Jim Parsons in it!
Oh god I love carol Kane. I wish I had brought a toaster for her to sign. (ten points for you if you understand the reference)
Jim Parsons was an absolutely lovely man-- very kind, always smiling, and also quite tall. He's a total string bean.
Today I have an interview with another agency and tomorrow I have yet another, along with an audition for a tv pilot. Busy busy.

Rain
I woke up to a gentle thunder and a soft rain hitting my window, which is pretty glorious no matter where you live.
It is somehow especially glorious, however, on a fourth floor new york city walk up.
It makes me want to curl up and sleep the whole day.

Graduation
Yesterday, I graduated college.
I should come up with something either absurdly witty, or sentimental, or something of the like, to commemorate this fine occasion.
But really, all I will say is that now I'm done with school (for now,) and I will become a part of the real world... Largely by doing the same thing I've been doing.
Anyway, my little brother is in town these next few days. Yay!

Panic attack
I have to learn to relax sometimes.
I just get really flustered and think that the worst thing that could possibly happen will definitely happen
Isn't that Occam's razor?
I could be wrong (and I probably am)
I wish I could put a gif I made up here, of me sneezing. It's kind of funny.
Tonight is a final showcase for family and friends. Yeyy

My books so far of 2012
Welcome to the year of the Water Dragon! :)
What better way to spend the beginning of the year relaxing with fantastic literature?
Here is what I'm reading lately...
1Q84
My boyfriend gave this to me on Christmas. It actually consists of three books in one, all tied together. It's almost 1000 pages. And I haven't been able to put it down. Almost finished, too!
The plot is really complicated, and sometimes the translation makes for repeated phrases and interesting dialogue choices, but it's amazing. It follows Aomame and Tengo (it takes place in Japan) and then there's a creepy religion and Little People and two moons and alternate universes and sexy female assassins and... yeah. It's great.
Trilby
My mom gave me this one on Christmas, incidentally. It was published in 1894 and follows a bunch of Bohemians and their friend Trilby, who is described as someone who "would be right jolly if only they were born a boy!" (Or something to that effect.) Trilby is a tomboy bohemian chick, and I like it so far. You should check it out if you're into super old school literature.
War and Peace
Ok, I'm not trying to sound like a snob academic: the book is actually not that bad of a read. In the beginning, a bunch of elite Russian teenagers get drunk on a windowsill, then tie a cop to a bear and throw them in the river. I guess that's what Russians do.
But, then again, I've been trying to finish this book for almost a year now. So... long... so... drawn out... urghmph.
I need more books. Suggestions? :3
